The Motorola Moto G4 Play was introduced a few months later after the G4 and G4 Plus, as the most affordable alternative. And while the latter models have been receiving their Android 7.0 Nougat update, the Moto G4 Play remained stuck at Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The good news is that Lenovo just confirmed the phone will indeed receive the update just like its brothers. According to a company spokesperson, Moto G4 Play owners should expect to see the new update arrive in June. Since updates like these roll-out in stages, we can't guarantee 100% Canadian owners of the phone will also get Nougat treatment during the same month. It's quite possible they will have to wait a while longer. But at least we know the update is coming. Launched in August 2016, the device arrives with a 5-inch display and 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor under the hood working with 1GB/2GB of RAM plus 8GB/16GB of internal storage, depending on market. The affordable device also takes advantage of an 8MP/5MP camera combo and 2,800 mAh battery. The Moto G4 Play has received a lot of praised due to its excellent battery life. And now with Android 7.0 Nougat it's bound to get even better. The post Lenovo Confirms Moto G4 Play Is Getting Nougat in June appeared first on Android in Canada Blog. Android Match
