Amazon Echo Dot sale cuts $10 off regular price for a limited time

Amazon recently kicked off deals on refurbished versions of the Echo and Echo Dot — the refurbished Echo deal is still happening — and now you can now save some cash on a new Echo Dot, too. For a limited time, Amazon is selling the Echo Dot for $39.99, which is $10 off its normal asking price. This deal applies to both the black and white versions of the Echo Dot. The Echo Dot is meant to be a low-cost way to get Amazon's Alexa assistant into your home. While it's not quite as powerful a speaker as the standard Echo (it does have a speaker), it offers all of the same features as its taller brethren.
