Android O beta update released by Google

Did you enroll in the Android O Beta Program that launched yesterday? If so, you've got a new update coming your way.

Google is now rolling out a small update for Android O beta testers. The update is version OPP2.170420.019, up from yesterday's OPP2.170420.017 release, and it weighed in at just 44.5MB on my Nexus 6P.

As for what's included, Google hasn't officially spilled any details. The small size suggests that it's a bug-fixing update. Some folks say that they're no longer getting an "unsupported in this build" error message for Android Pay, but others say that they're still unable to actually use the app.

Some Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P owners say that they're getting errors when trying to update. I encountered the issue on my 6P, with the device giving me an error when it tries to install the update and then requiring a hard reboot to get things back up and running. Here's to hoping that we hear more about what's going on with this update soon.

If you've got a device that's enrolled in the Android O Beta Program, you can check for this update by going into Settings > System > System updates.

Have you gotten this update?
