Honor has promised to add a face unlock feature to the Honor 7X in Q1 2018 and the company has made good on that promise, and quite early too! The Chinese version of the device is now being updated to build B192. This new version features face unlock, a very popular new feature that existed long before the iPhone X but has been popular ever since Apple included it in their notched flagship. Of course, Apple's implementation is much more secure, but basic camera-based face unlocking can be quick and secure enough for most people. The update also adds an AR Lens mode for the camera so you can add AR effects like layers and backgrounds to selfies. And of course it includes the latest January security patch into the mix. Hopefully we'll be seeing this update on the international models soon, since it's currently limited to the Chinese model. But it's good to see the company pushing for better security updates (a weak spot for Huawei) and new features for an already released device. Android Match
