Vivo X20 Plus UD with its in-display fingerprint sensor available to pre-order in China

Back in December, Vivo confirmed it would be the first smartphone manufacturer to launch a device with an in-display fingerprint reader.

When CES arrived earlier this month, the company showed off that handset. The on-hand impressions from folks who got time with it seemed reasonably impressed and, best of all, it seemed to work just as expected. Now that device is up for pre-order in China.

Vivo is taking pre-orders for the X20 Plus UD in China only, where it is priced at ¥3598 (about $565). Obviously the flagship feature is the fingerprint reader built into the display. Other bullet points include a 6.43-inch screen with a resolution of 2160×1080, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of built-in storage. There's a microSD card slot for expandable storage.

The Vivo X20 Plus UD's battery measures in at 3905mAh, there are a pair of 12-megapixel cameras on the back, and it's running Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.

There is no word on whether or not the Vivo X20 Plus UD will see an international launch. If it does, will you consider picking it up?
