Sony Xperia XZ3 leaks out with slightly smaller bezels
Sony hasn't emphatically jumped on the small bezel bandwagon just yet, but now it looks like it's at least starting to dip its toe in the water.
Based on leaked renders of the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ3 which were shared by @OnLeaks and CompareRaja, Sony's next high-end smartphone will pack plenty of familiar design decisions from the Sony brand, but may finally be reducing the bezels. The bezels on the top and bottom look smaller than what's on the Xperia XZ2 Premium, for instance, which just went up for pre-order at the beginning of this month.
That display will also have rounded corners and a curved edge design, which is definitely out of Sony's comfort zone. But if these renders based on factory CAD documents are the real deal, the final product might be pretty eye catching.
The rumored specifications for the Xperia XZ3 include a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 2160×1080, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM, and options that include either 64GB or 128GB of built-in storage. The handset will also reportedly boast a 3240mAh battery. Sony will include a single rear camera on the back, along with the fingerprint reader positioned just below it. There is a USB-C port on the bottom, but no 3.5mm headphone jack appears to be present.
Sony hasn't made anything about the Xperia XZ3 official just yet, but we may see the handset get unveiled during this year's IFA conference, which kicks off at the end of August. So we may not have long to wait before this new smartphone is unveiled.
Based on the rumors and the design, do you think you'll consider the Xperia XZ3 as your next daily driver?
