Back in May Nintendo announced their plan to release 5 new smartphone games by 2017, the first of which would début this year. Well that début is now just a day away as the company announced that they will unveil their first smartphone game tomorrow!
The report comes out of the Wall Street Journal and goes on to say that the title was developed in partnership with DeNA Co. and will be released by the end of the year. They also restated their intentions of bringing another 4 titles by March of 2017.
There was no word on what this inaugural title would be but Nintendo had discussed their plans to leverage their well known characters as they enter this new market so we should expect to see some familiar figures. I'm also really hoping that they don't leave us Android users out in the cold but rather that they bring these titles to both Android and iOS.
