Nintendo’s First Mobile Game Isn’t Quite What We Hoped For…

Miitomo

Well Nintendo's first mobile game has been officially announced but I don't think it's what anyone thought it would be.  The game is called Miitomo and features Nintendo's Mii characters.  The game, if you can call it that, allows users to create their own character and interact with other users avatars.  To me, it seems much more like a fancy communication application than a game but it is what it is I suppose.

The game is slated to release in March 2016 and will adopt the freemium model.  In other words, the game is free to play but users will have to shell out money for special in game add ons.

Again, not what many of us had hoped for but it's still exciting to see Nintendo enter the smartphone gaming realm.
