OnePlus' latest handset takes a new approach for the OEM, one which favours design at an incredibly low price, but don't think there's nothing special under the hood of the OnePlus X.
In its brief existence, OnePlus has been all about the specs and their first two efforts were each aimed to eliminate their flagship competitors by being set at a competitive price. OnePlus One had mass acceptance as being a "flagship killer" as OnePlus described it, while their follow-up OnePlus 2 lost some of that effect when the company marketed it as being a year ahead of its time, while lacking some features most customers naturally expect these days.
