There are plenty of music streaming services out there, but if you are an audiophile you're probably going to prefer Tidal, the app owned by Jay-Z himself which offers a FLAC option. Well as it appears, Tidal will soon be joined by Spotify in its quest to attract high quality audio seekers. The Verge reports that Spotify is currently beta-testing a new Spotify Hi-Fi streaming service which the company calls "The ultimate music experience". Several Spotify Premium subscribers have been receiving invitations to join the new service although the fees seem to vary. Some Spotify users are offered lossless CD quality audio for an extra $10/month, while others are tempted to join for $5/month. The latter fee includes a free vinyl and discounts on additional vinyl purchases. It's unclear now what the will be price at launch, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens when Spotify officially launches the services. For the time being we can't exactly tell you when this will happen. Spotify has one of the largest music libraries available and in conjunction with the new HiFi lossless audio feature, the service is bound to attract more customers from the ranks of audiophiles. Especially since Tidal's Hi-Fi subscription costs $19.99 a month. The post Spotify to Take on Tidal with Hi-Fi Streaming Option appeared first on Android in Canada Blog. Android Match
