Amazon Prime, like many other services out there, offers a monthly subscription to help break up the cost of a service. As is also par for the course with those other options, that monthly option works out to be a bit more expensive than paying the annual cost. In this case, Amazon Prime costs $132 over the course of 12 months if you pay the current $10.99 per month. Recode reports that Amazon is now going to increase the cost of a monthly Prime membership by 18%, though. So customers who opt for the monthly subscription option will be paying $12.99 per month, which means if you pay for a year you're forking over an additional $24, or $156 in total. The yearly Amazon Prime cost is only $99 and it will apparently stay that way moving forward. What do you think of the upcoming change? Do you pay for Amazon Prime on a monthly basis? Will you continue after the price goes up? Android Match
