IFA 2018 kicks off soon, but before the show swings into gear LG is getting a couple of announcements out of the way. On Tuesday, the Life's Good crew unveiled a pair of new handsets, both of which carry the G7 branding, offer some impressive specs, and will apparently aim to keep prices down at the same time. Interestingly enough, while LG is promoting the fact the two phones will have "exceptional prices" (presumably when compared to flagship handsets on the market right now), the company isn't actually announcing pricing or availability for either handset in today's announcement. With that out of the way, let's dig into the specs. The LG G7 One is an Android One handset running Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Under the hood there is a Qualocmm Snapdragon 835 processor, and the handset has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot that supports up to 2TB of expandable storage. The display measures in at 6.1 inches, has a resolution of 3120×1440, and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 thanks to the notch. The camera on the back is a 16MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.6. Around front, the 8MP camera is a wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/1.9. The handset features a 3000mAh battery and will be available in New Aurora Black and New Moroccan Blue.
The LG G7 Fit has a few key changes. First, it's running Android 8.1 Oreo, but it isn't an Android One handset. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor under the hood, and there are a couple of variants to choose from. The first has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot that supports up to 2TB cards. The other model has 4GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, and the same microSD card slot support. The display measures in at 6.1 inches, has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a notch, and a resolution of 3120×1440. The 16MP camera on the back has an aperture of f/2.2, while the wide-angle front-facing camera is an 8MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.9. The battery measures in at 3000mAh, and it will be available in New Platinum Gray and New Aurora Black when it launches. These are the two newest G7 variants. What do you think? Depending on price, would you pick one up? Android Match
