We have heard rumor after rumor that Samsung will release a "Prime" or premium version of the Galaxy S 5 with a QHD (2560 x 1440) display, but nothing was mentioned during February's Unpacked Event. JK Shin denied the existence of a premium Galaxy S 5, but we know Samsung is up to something.
A new Samsung device just showed up on GFXBench with the model SM-G906S that just so happens to sport a QHD (2560 x 1440) display. Yes, that is very similar to the Galaxy S 5 model number of SM-G900. What's interesting about this is the fact that a couple of the graphics benchmarks come out lower than the Galaxy S 5. Of course, this is most likely a prototype, so the numbers really aren't that important.
Whether Samsung releases this device as a Galaxy S 5 variant or as part of a new premium line called the F Series, is anyone's guess. The bottomline is Samsung will offer something very high-end in the near future. Stay tuned.
