The Nexus 6 is set to be the hottest smartphone of Q4 2014 and today's the day I've been waiting for.
The render of the upcoming Nexus flagship smartphone from Google and Motorola was put up by the guys from Android Police and boy does it look nice. First things first, you can see that Android L (confirmed to be Android 5.0) here doesn't look that different to what the developer preview looks right now, excpet for the new icons. There's an app located next to the dialer that we've never seen before and it sure doesn't look like hangouts to me, at least in it's present state.
The hardware of the phone is where things can be considered not so cool, depending on who you ask. The phone is confirmed to be coming with a massive 5.9-inch QHD display (no information on whether it's AMOLED or LCD) which is by far the biggest flagship screen size of the year. Other specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC with 3GB of RAM, 3200+ mAh battery, 13MP rear camera with OIS and a 2MP front facing camera alongside front stereo speakers. Another interesting feature is that the phone will take advantage of Motorola's super fast charging technology.
The phone is expected to be released next month alongside the new HTC Nexus 9 and Android 5.0 L.
