We have seen several leaks surfacing regarding Verizon's upcoming Motorola DROID Turbo, this year's addition to the carrier's DROID line of devices. Most recently we saw an image of the Kevlar clad back of the device. A new entry on the GFXBench web site reveals some detailed information, much of it confirming what was suspected, about the hardware that will be used to run the DROID Turbo.
According to this new entry, the DROID Turbo will join the list of devices sporing a 2560 x 1440 resolution display. For the DROID Turbo, that display will be 5.2-inches netting a calculated PPI of 565. Running the DROID Turbo will be a Snapdragon 805 processor running at 2.6GHz mated with an Adreno 420 gpu. The device will get 3GB of RAM. Internal storage is listed as 21GB, so it probably has 32GB out of the box with 11GB devoted to the operating system and other stuff packed in by Verizon.
For cameras, the GFXBench entry indicates the DROID Turbo will have a 19MP rear-facing camera capable of 4K video recording while the front-facing camera is a 2MP unit. The DROID Turbo will come with Android 4.4.4 out of the box.
Anyone out there looking forward to this new addition to the DROID line?
Thanks Steve!
