Samsung Galaxy S8 release date reportedly set for April 28

Samsung has confirmed March 29 as the date of the big Unpacked event where it will, well, unpack the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Last month we got a clear look at the Galaxy S8 thanks to a press render that leaked out, but if a new report from VentureBeat pans out, we may have to wait even longer to actually get our hands on the phone.

According to the report, Samsung has changed the launch date of the upcoming Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ to April 28. It goes on to say that there's no word at this point why the release date has been pushed back, but it's basically an open secret at this point that Samsung is taking the time it feels is necessary to launch the next flagship smartphone due to the issues that sunk the Galaxy Note 7 last year.

Back in February it was rumored that the Galaxy S8 would launch globally on April 21.

Whenever the Galaxy S8 arrives, do you plan on picking one up?
