Today, Amazon officially announced that it has added five new handsets to its Prime Exclusive lineup of smartphones, which includes three brand new devices from Alcatel. The three new handsets with the Alcatel brand are the surprises of the day. First up is the Idol 5S (pictured in the article), which features a metal and 2.5D curved glass design, with a 5.2-inch full HD display. On the back there's a 12MP camera, and around front an 8MP front-facing camera. There's 3GB of RAM under the hood, 32GB of built-in storage, and it supports microSD cards up to 256GB. It also features 4G LTE connectivity, 3.6-watt front-facing speakers, and Android 7.1 Nougat on board. The Alcatel Idol 5S is priced at $199.99 as part of the Prime Exclusive deal, which means owners will see advertisements on the lock screen. It's unlocked and supports the AT&T and T-Mobile networks out of the box, but it will support Verizon and Sprint later this year following a software update. (It costs $279.99 without the Prime Exclusive discount.) Meanwhile, the Alcatel A30 Plus and A50 share plenty of similarities in the specifications department. They both feature 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage with microSD card support, and Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The handsets also both feature a 13-megapixel camera on the back of each handset, and a 5MP front-facing camera as well. The differences see the A30 Plus with a 5.5-inch HD display, while the A50 has a 5.2-inch display. The A30 Plus is priced at $79.99 with the Prime Exclusive deal (regularly $129.99), while the A50 is priced at $99.99 for Prime Exclusive (regularly $149.99). These three handsets can be pre-ordered beginning today, but they won't ship out until July 10. The Nokia 6 and Moto E4 have both arrived on the Amazon Prime Exclusive list, as we already knew they would be. The Nokia 6 is priced at $179.99 for the Prime Exclusive deal (regularly $229.99). The Moto E4, on the other hand, is priced at $99.99 for Prime members (regularly $129.99). The Nokia 6 and Moto E4 are also available to pre-order today. The Nokia 6 will ship out on July 10 as well, but the Moto E4 begins shipping on June 30. Do any of these devices have a future with you? Android Match
