Earlier this month, Google finally announced its Google Assistant-powered Home speaker will make a debut in Canada soon enough. Pre-orders for the device were opened and customers interested in acquiring the home-connected device could secure the product for $179 CAD. Now according to a new report coming out of Mobile Syrup, it seems the Google Home will arrive in Canada sans the multi-user capability. Announced back in April, multi-user support started rolling out to US owners of the Google Home not so long ago. However, we're told that while at launch the feature will not be available, it will arrive further down the line via an update. Although we're not given a definitive date. The initial announcement revealed UK users were also bound to get the new option, although it's going to be a while before multi-user support for Google Home will land in the country. Why is multi-user support so important for the Google Home experience? Because it allows different members of the household to set-up profiles on the speakers, which once activated by virtue of voice, deliver a tailored experience to which user in part. The Google Home is currently able to distinguish between 6 different people. The speaker will become available in Canada with a number of retailers including the Google Store, Bell, Best Buy, Rogers, Staples, Telus or Walmart starting June 26.
