Rumour: Samsung’s 2018 Galaxy A Series Could Get InfinityDisplay Treatment

So far the beautiful edge-to-edge InfinityDisplay has been limited to premium devices from Samsung's portfolio, more precisely the Galaxy S8 and now the Galaxy Note 8.

But if a recent leak is to be believed, the InfinityDisplay will soon land on Samsung's middle-range family, the Galaxy A.

This year's Galaxy A series which includes the A7, A5 and A3 all feature the classic design, but in 2018 Samsung might be looking to take things to the next level – at least when it comes to the A7 model.

The rumour makes sense, as this strategy mirrors LG's. Soon after unveiling the LG G6 flagship, the Korean company launched the Q6 handset which offers the same atypical aspect ratio as LG's latest premium phone.

And if the current information turns out to be true, Samsung will do the same in 2018. This is very exciting news because it means that more people would be able to have access to the gorgeous InfinityDisplay currently only characteristic of Samsung's two flagships.

In related news, Samsung might be looking to unveil a cheaper version of the Galaxy Note 8 with only 4GB of RAM onboard. A listing in China's regulatory agency, TEENA revealed this tidbit, but so far we don't have any confirmation this will be indeed the case. Would you buy a Galaxy Note 8 with watered down specs?
