As it approaches its one-year anniversary of existence, the Google Home remains a capable smart speaker that leads the pack in functionality. Regular updates add new features and with the latest improvement, Google is adding the oft-requested ability to set reminders through a Google Home. The functionality works in the same way as the Google Assistant app on smartphones, and syncs across your connected devices. Google's support document details the functionality and mentions that users can trigger the feature with the "Remind me…" prompt. Reminders can be one-time or recurring, and you'll get a notification on your Google Home and any other devices that are connected to your Google Assistant account. Multi-user functionality is compatible with reminders, though users can choose to disable the reminder function altogether. The feature is currently available in English only, but you can expect further language support in the future. Though the support document has been published, the software update has yet to roll out. Be sure to watch for it over the next few days, and once you receive it, drop by with a comment to let us know how you like the new feature. Android Match
