| Huawei has not released any timeline for the Android 8.0 Oreo update for its devices, but the company seems to be hard at work. The Huawei Mate 9 has shown up on Geekbench running the latest version of Android. It's unknown what kind of modifications have been done to the Mate 9′s software with Oreo. Whether it's on the same version of EMUI is unknown, but since Oreo isn't a major update from a basic functionality and aesthetic perspective, sticking with the same version of EMUI would not be a bad thing. The Mate 10 is launching in a few weeks so we'll find out what kind of software we can likely expect expect with the Mate 9 Oreo update. Then we'll wait, as we have no idea how far in development this update is.
