Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is now available in Canada (unofficially)

Xiaomi might not officially be selling smartphones in Canada, but folks looking to purchase the company's latest Mi MIX 2 flagship can do so if they so desire. The bezel-less wonder just landed on the Xiaomi in Canada website in 6GB of RAM + 64GB/128GB/256GB storage configurations. The Ceramic version is also available in White or Black with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. Prices start at a pretty steep $924 (mind you this is a discounted price, down from $986). The most expensive model (the ceramic one) will take you back with $1,233 CAD. For those who don't know, the Xiaomi MI MIX 2 arrives with a 5.99-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2160 resolution and 80.8% screen-to-body ratio. There's also a Snapdragon 835 processor on board, as well as a 3,400 mAh battery – a smaller unit than the one included inside the original Mi MIX which relied on a 4,400 mAh powerhouse. Other specs include a 12-megapixel primary camera with phase detection autofocus, OIS, and dual-LE flash, as well as a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. The phone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 9.0 on top but will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update at a later date.
