Update 1: 2017/09/22 8:01pm PDT It looks like a recent YouTube app update (likely either 12.36 or 12.37) has blocked this method. Now that PiP in Google Maps and Duo is widely rolled out, there's not One of Android Oreo's best features is Picture-in-Picture mode for phones and tablets. When you press the home button while playing media (on an app that supports PiP), the video collapses to a floating window that you can move around the screen.
