ASUS has announced the new ZenFone 5 series at Mobile World Congress 2018. The lineup ranges from flagships to a budget device with a high capacity battery. But the flagships are noteworthy, and not only for the right reasons. The ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Z are similar phones that use the exact same body, and what a body it is. There's an iPhone X notch in the 6.2-inch display, but it's advertised as smaller than that on the iPhone X. There's also a vertically oriented dual camera setup on the back. It's no coincidence that it looks like an ASUS iPhone X. The ZenFone 5Z uses a Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage while the ZenFone 5 tones it down with a Snapdragon 636. Both devices feature dual cameras, one regular and one wide angle, with OIS and AI features. The ZenFone 5Q features a 6-inch 18:9 HD+ display and four cameras: a pair of regular and wide angle sensors on both sides of the phone, with the main sensor being 20MP on the front and 16MP on the rear. Inside is a Snapdragon 630 processor, a 3,300mAh battery, and a microSD slot. The ZenFone Max M1 is the big battery-toting phone of the lineup, with a 4,000mAh battery inside. Specs are light on this device, but we know that it has a 5.5-inch display. Info on price and availability isn't yet available but we should find out when we can expect these devices soon. The ZenFone 5Z really looks like the only eye catching one here, but the iPhone-like design is a turnoff. Android Match
