Nokia 6 Is the Company’s First Comeback Smartphone

What was promised has finally been delivered over the weekend. We've been teasing Nokia's return to the smartphone world for a few months now and finally HMD (the company that is in charge of manufacturing smartphones with the Nokia brand on them) announced the new Nokia 6 handset.

The device will launch in China for an affordable $330 CAD. There's no word yet if the phone will make it out into other markets, but we don't really think this is the case. Recent information indicates that HMD will launch 6 or 7 new Nokia designs this year, so the Nokia 6 is just the beginning.

The Finnish company has partnered up with popular retailer JD.com and long-time supporter of the Nokia brand to sell the Nokia 6 in the country. Now let's look at specs a little bit. The handset comes with a 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution and runs on a Snapdragon 430 with Adreno 505 GPU. There's also 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

In the camera department we find a 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture plus PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) plus an 8MP selfie camera. The phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, thus making it one of the most affordable Nougat devices on the market.

What do you think? Would you buy a Nokia 6 if it ever launched in Canada?
