After the Nexus 6P got its Android 7.0 Nougat update, some users took to the forums to complain about an unexpected battery drainage problem. Many believed that the Nougat update was to blame for the troubles, but users downgrading to Android 6.0 Marshmallow were faced with the same issues. This was a few weeks ago, now some Nexus 6P users are reporting their phones are inexplicably shutting down while the battery still has juice. It's usually around the 20% mark when the lights on the Nexus 6P go dark. While Huawei initially refused to take investigate this pressing matter, passing it in Google's backyard, it seems the Chinese OEM has now reconsidered. According to a report coming out of Venture Beat, claims both Google and Huawei have been made aware of the situation and are currently investigating the issue. Hopefully the issue will be solved at some point. The Nexus 6P is about one year old, so lots of people are still using it. On August 22, Google released the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Nexus 6P, thus breathing new life into it. There are countless posts on Reddit and Google's Product Forum detailing the problem, so it seems the issue is quite widespread. So Google and Huawei need to do something about it ASAP.
