Samsung has been running a beta test of Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge for awhile, but now the test is coming to an end and a public release might be around the corner. Now that Samsung is bringing the beta test to an end, it has emailed beta testers and told them that the public release for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge should arrive in early January. In the email, Samsung said, "We would do our best to distribute the official version in January as soon as possible." While there's no specific date to circle on the calendar just yet, owners of the flagship devices at least have a general period of time to look forward to. Of course, while Samsung has plans to release the software in early January, it doesn't necessarily guarantee that the update will actually arrive then. Are you looking forward to the new software?
