Periscope launches 360-degree live video

For the folks out there who love watching or sharing 360-degree video, Twitter and Periscope are aiming to be your go-to source.

The Twitter-owned Periscope has announced today that it is launching 360-degree video live streaming. Folks will be able to hop into a live video and check out the 360-degree content as the stream rolls on. The special videos will be available in Periscope as well as Twitter directly, and viewers will see a specific "LIVE 360″ badge when they're live.

Viewers will be able to tap and drag their finger on their device's display to change their point of view. It's worth noting that right now, the ability to broadcast 360-degree live videos are only available to select partners, but the feature will be available to more users "in the coming weeks."
