Just last week, the YouTube team published a quick rundown of what it has been working on and how YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium will change things up for subscription services under the Google/YouTube banner.
Now that same team has announced that it is rolling out the new YouTube Music in an early access phase in several regions. If you are in the United States, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, or South Korea, then the new YouTube Music experience should be going live in your neck of the woods here soon. If you aren't in one of those regions, you can click this link to get an email when the new YouTube Music launches in your area.
The team has put together a quick list of why they believe you'll like the newest music subscription service on the market. That includes not only having music videos, but also singles, live performances, remixes, and much more all in one spot. The new service is also designed to bring you new recommendations based on your listening habits and preferences, which includes a home screen that will update dynamically to adapt to what you like.
Included is a new smart search so "we'll find the song, even if you can't remember what it's called". A dedicated playlist for new, "hot" and trending music videos, and the ability to download music and listen offline, as long as you're paying the YouTube Music Premium monthly subscription, of course.
The team also reiterates that if you are a Google Play Music subscriber, then "nothing will change – you'll still be able to access and add to all of your purchased music, uploads and playlists in Google Play Music just like always".
So here we are with a brand new YouTube Music. Do you plan on subscribing?
