You can now return gifts to the Google Store

If you have been given a gift from the Google Store and haven't found a use for it, you can now return that unwanted item.

Google is finally launching gift returns in the Google Store. The process is simple enough. Just go to the gift returns page, sign into your Google account, and then follow the onscreen instructions to fill out a couple forms, including your order number and ZIP code. Once you do that, you will be guided to a page that shows you the order you'd like to return, so just select the item(s) you want to return and submit the form to Google.

You'll have return labels emailed to you, and once Google receives the item you'll get a Google Store credit applied to your account for the original purchase price. That credit won't expire, but it's also non-transferrable, and it's only available to use on items sold in the Google Store.

The new gifts return option is only available in the United States for now, and there is no word on whether or not it will launch to other markets any time soon.
