Verizon details LG G7 ThinQ and Moto G6 launch info, HTC U12+ certification, and more

Not to be outdone by Sprint, which just unveiled its own pricing information for the upcoming LG G7 ThinQ, Verizon Wireless has also revealed its own price for the flagship device.

Verizon has confirmed that pre-orders for the LG G7 ThinQ will go live on Thursday, May 24. It will retail for $750, with monthly pricing set at $31.25 for 24 months. Verizon is offering $100 off the retail pricing if you pick it up at launch on a device payment option. That discount will be applied via a monthly bill credit, as is par for the course.

The HTC U12+, which was officially unveiled today, won't be sold directly by Verizon. However, the big red wireless carrier confirmed today that the flagship handset is indeed certified for its network, so you can buy the handset from HTC directly and bring it onto your account.

Also of note is that the Moto G6 is launching on Verizon's network on Thursday, May 24. It has a retail cost of $240, with monthly payments set up at $10 a month for 24 months.

Two last things: First, Verizon's open enrollment for Total Mobile Protection is open until Thursday, May 31. Here are the two major bullet points Verizon wants people to know about that:

  • Get as fast as same-day cracked screen repair in select locations for select smartphones (subject to parts availability). We'll come to you or you can come to us. A $29 deductible for select smartphones applies.
  • If your cracked screen can't be repaired or your device is lost, stolen or damaged, we'll send you a replacement as soon as the next day, even while traveling internationally. Only Verizon offers next-day device replacement for claims up until midnight ET, including Saturday delivery.

And last but not least, Verizon's TravelPass is available in 16 additional Caribbean spots, including Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Aruba, The Cayman Islands, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Turks & Caicos for prepaid customers.

Quite a bit to take in, but if you were eyeballing the HTC U12+ and are on Verizon's network, at least you know the carrier supports the handset.
