Streaming live video is a big deal these days, especially for social networks, and Twitter is placing a major focus on it. Twitter has announced that live streaming is now baked into the stock Twitter app for Android (and iOS). To go live, users will need to compose a new tweet and then tap the "LIVE" button. Once there, they'll see a pre-broadcast screen to frame the shot. There's a "Go Live" option to select to officially start the stream. The live streams will appear not only in the Periscope app, but also in followers' Twitter feed. Viewers will be able to send hearts by tapping the screen, and they can comment on what's happening in real-time. And while the new built-in Twitter broadcast is powered by Periscope, users won't need to have the Periscope app to make it work. Android Match
