Holding on to a Sony Xperia X Performance from Rogers? Then you're probably wondering when is your device going to get Android 7.0 Nougat?
Well the carrier has just confirmed the smartphone will receive Nougat (and VoLTE) treatment in February 2017.
However Rogers does state the following: "Making sure these dates re accurate is our top priority. Sometimes things change beyond our control so all dates listed are subject to change. Thank you for understanding."
The Sony Xperia X Performance was unveiled in June 2016 with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. The phone features a 5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and a Snapdragon 820 breathing fire under the hood.
The device sells in two versions, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage or 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
In the photography department, the Sony Xperia X Performance offers quite a treat. The main snapper is of 23MP variety and features phase detection autofocus and LED flash. The 13MP selfie snapper will surely take great self-portraits.
Rogers also notes that other devices including HTC One M9, LG G5 and the Moto Z will also be blessed with Android 7.0. The carrier failed to provide any specific dates, just noting the update is "coming soon".
