| At the beginning of this month, Google released the first developer preview of Android P, the next major update to its mobile operating system. Some Google devices weren't included in the update, like the Nexus 5X, the Nexus 6P, and the Nexus Player. Google confirmed that the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and the Pixel C tablet wouldn't be getting an update to Android P, but it was still up in the air whether or not the Nexus P would be updated. Now Android Police has an answer. According to the Google, the Nexus Player will not be getting an update to Android P. When the Nexus Player launched, it was the year 2014 and it had Android 5.0 Lollipop on board. The set-top box actually received three years of updates from Google, which makes it the longest-running device to get updates up to this point. That streak will come to an end with Android P, though. Do you still use a Nexus Player?
