Google I/O 2017 will happen in May, so to make sure that the attendees have plenty of time to prepare, ticket confirmations are now being sent out. As is par for the course with I/O, tickets are determined by way of a raffle. Those interested in attending the event informed Google that they want to go, and then Google chose the lucky ones that will get to attend. As noted by Android Police, Google is now informing those winners that they've been selected.
Emails are now being distributed to the winners, letting them know that their card on file will be charged the $1,150 for the ticket and giving them general ticket information. The report indicates that if a confirmed attendee decides they don't want to go, they can contact Google to make arrangements for their payment to be refunded and their ticket rescinded. Google I/O will take place between May 17-19 at the Shoreline Ampitheatre in Mountain View, California. Android Match
