Samsung Galaxy S8′s thin bezels revealed in new image

Samsung plans on officially unveiling its newest flagship, the Galaxy S8, on March 29. For those who are impatiently waiting for that big reveal, a new leak may hold you over for a bit longer.

Thanks to serial leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks), we've got another look at the Galaxy S8. This time it's a very clear press render, showing the front of the upcoming handset. We can see the thin top and bottom bezels, and the curved glass along the right and left edges. The date on the phone's display shows March 29, a wink to the big reveal date.

Aside from the familiar front-facing camera above the display, we can also see an iris scanner, which made its debut with the now-defunct Galaxy Note 7. We can also see that there are indeed no capacitive buttons below the display, as Samsung prepares to launch the Galaxy S8 with onscreen navigation options.

We also get to see the hardware buttons along both edges. The right edge houses the familiar power button, and the left edge has the long volume rocker. Below the volume keys is a third hardware button which is rumored to be the dedicated hardware key to launch "Bixby," Samsung's digital personal assistant. The artificial intelligence built into the Galaxy S8 is said to be a major focal point for Samsung moving forward, so having a dedicated hardware button to help sell it certainly seems to be in the company's wheelhouse.

Just this week we saw the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ out in the wild, so this clear press render just reaffirms what we're already expecting: flagship smartphones with remarkably thin bezels, with one model featuring a 5.8-inch display and another boasting a larger 6.2-inch screen.

Are you eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Galaxy S8?
