Sony Xperia 2017 Press Render Appears

Most of the headlines these days are dominated by the Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6. But Sony will be present at MWC 2017 as well and most likely will unveil a premium phone of its own.

Some sources have been calling the device the Xperia X (2017) while others believe it will go by the name of Xperia X2. Well, putting naming scheme aside – a press render depicting the phone has just popped in online.

There are no specs attached to the image, but at least we get a glimpse of Sony's 2017 design scheme. As you can see the Sony logo will probably be removed from the front of the device in order to make room for a wider display. As you can see bezels are quite minimal, which is to be expected from a 2017 flagship. The phone also appears to feature a dedicated shutter button.

According to word on the street, the Xperia X (2017) should make it out with a 5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and Helio P20 chipset under the hood. There's also going to be 4GB of RAM, a hefty 23MP main camera and a consistent 16MP selfie camera. It's going to be quite the upper to middle-ranger, don't you think?
