Mozilla wants a bigger stake in the mobile space, and one way to do that is to acquire a service that has more than 10 million users across the globe. Mozilla has officially announced that it has acquired the read-it-later service known as Pocket. The app, which allows users to save articles from around the internet to read later, has over 10 million monthly users and is one of the more popular article-saving apps out there. Mozilla has also confirmed that the 25-person Pocket team will stay together, and that they will continue to do their work as a separate entity from Mozilla, but still be under the company's umbrella moving forward. Mozilla's technically folding Pocket into its open source project. Pocket was originally founded back in 2007, when it was known simply as Read It Later. Do you use Pocket or do you prefer another read-it-later service? Android Match
