| Though plenty of people are cutting the cord and getting rid of their cable TV subscriptions, many others keep them despite the hassle and limitations. Contracts, cable box rentals, extra charge for DVRs, and being limited to one TV is a big hassle. YouTube aims to change that. YouTube has announced YouTube TV, a live TV subscription service that works much like the regular video streaming service. For $35 a month, you'll get access to ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, regional sports networks and many other cable networks (with more available if you pay extra). Six YouTube accounts will have access to this service with three consecutive streams at a time. The DVR is in the cloud and travels with you. There are no DVR storage limits, just a nine-month time limit. Best of all, you'll be able to watch TV on any of your Android and iOS devices. You can also stream to any cast-enabled device like the Chomecast. Unfortunately, there are some big downsides. A lot of popular channels are missing, though they may be added down the line. This is only the beginning. Also, it would have been nice to pick channels individually and lower the price if you only watch a few channels. Bundles are a pain for some people.
