AT&T has announced that it launching its new 5G Evolution network in two markets: Austin and Indianapolis. Theoretical speeds will be 400Mbps to start, but will eventually reach the full 1 Gbps as soon as this year in some areas. With that, AT&T is bringing a platform called AT&T Network 3.0 Indigo. The 5G Evolution network is only one part of that. There is "software-defined networking," which will help handle the data going through the network.
